Did you see the barely discernable pile of already-shredded TP at the bottom
of the pic - to the left (it's hard to see as there is a rug/towel there
that is also white, but I definitely see some unrolled & slightly shredded
TP there)

ROFL!

Oh, Mere's doing plenty of damage in that photo! :) Her expression
doesn't look quite as scary, but in terms of measurable output, she's
on par with the other kitty. :)

Oh, yes, she did destroy many a TP roll. I'm so glad she grew out of
that stage. I only get a few shreds now and then, these days. If you
click on Previous a few times, you will see her on the toilet seat,
pulling out the paper.

Yeah, I think it is that hanging off of it thing that gives it its "uber"
mission feel.

Yes. It's truly a great shot. With a bit more tummy, that could be Caliban.

I dunno. Mere looks pretty vicious with all four feet and teeth going
after the greebling infestation!

LOL! You know, that is very true! Even in shredding she is delicate
(but no less destructive!) :D

So far, Cinders hasn't shown any interest in attacking the toilet
paper roll.  However, if I make the mistake of leaving a paper napkin
or facial tissue out in the open, I am likely to find a pile of
shredded paper.

Die, TP, DIE!!!

LOL, I must NEVER show that photgraph to Nina!  Although lately, she
hasn't been on greebling patrol as she was when she was a baby. I do
remember waking up early one morning to find a very purposeful kitten
come trotting out of my bathroom dragging a wedding dress-esque train
of TP out behind her  as she headed out of my bedroom and into my
livingroom.

But who knows what TP greeblings will get up to if cats don't keep them
in line?

Argh, the exact same thing happened with Mir when she was young. I woke
up in the middle of the night to a scuffling sound that came out of the
bathroom, went past my bed and into the living room. I had to get up to
go see what it was, and in the dusk, I could see a white snake coiling
along the floor. Mir was so proud of herself.

Jack Campin - bogus address - 20 Dec 2006 12:39 GMT

Our lot spontaneously evolved a hunting code for TP.  If it was in
the bathroom, they'd leave it alone. Anywhere else (like on the head
of the bed if one of us had a cold), it was fair game.

With Zeke and Mingus, I could tell which one had done it.  Mingus
would delicately unroll it and shred it sheet by sheet, while Zeke
would just take enormous chomps into the roll and rip out mouthfuls.

Muriel completely ignored it until one day we had some rolls of PINK
toilet paper, her favourite colour.  We found her curled up in the
hallway surrounded by a great heap of pink petals, like a model in
a 1950s glamour photo.

I guess if cats used TP for it's intended purpose, Mingus would be a
folder, Zeke a scruncher and Muriel would scrunch and use up the whole
roll. ;)
