The black cat came back. I got some wet food, and started outside with
it.
Frank came out of nowhere, ran between my legs and out the door. He
chased the black cat, and it beat the crap out of him. It kept trying
to run away, and he kept going back for more. The black cat kicked his
butt all the way down the driveway.
What a mess. Frank is up on his shots, and I just hope this cat did not
have something. It looked healthy. I just pray that it was. I got him
an appt. late today. He's going to abcess up, I know he has puncture
wounds even though he doesn't have any bad wounds. I am hoping the vet
will clean him up sufficienty and maybe antibiotic will help.
Frank never was such a scrapper before. I should have been more careful
going out the door. I bet the black cat doesn't come back either. What
a mess.

Try not to feel bad, Sherry - accidents happen. It's not like you
deliberately opened the door and said, "Sic him, Frank!" Purrs that our
Frankie boy avoids an abscess.

And I hope the black cat is OK also. Especially if he does not have a
home.

I'm sorry this happened. But it is hardly your fault! You didn't expect
Frank to go dashing out the door between your legs, for god's sake!
Purrs for Frank - especially make sure he didn't get any deep bites.
I hope the black kitty either comes back (and Frank stays put in the
house), or it finds some other home to adopt.
Purrs,
Joyce

Purrs for Frank (it felt weird to write that) and for the black cat.
Don't blame yourself, Sherry. It wasn't your fault.

What an ordeal! You're probably all shaken after that. That Frank,
sounds like he's got a lot of courage.
I think the cat will be back. You're feeding it and how can he/she turn
down a free meal?
How is Frank? Hope the vet able to clean everything well enough.
Rhonda
PS -- I've been meaning to ask, did you ever find that queen bee that
went missing quite awhile ago?

Frankie got an antiobiotic shot and pills. The vet shaved behind one
ear and cleaned one wound, but that's really the only one he could
find. Frank's hair is so thick and long. It's a good thing. It probably
protected him some. We can't figure out why he's limping. He thinks
it's just a pulled muscle or strain and didn't do exrays. I may have to
take him back.
You mean the queen that came in the mail that the cats played
hockeypuck with? Yes, we found it, alive and well and still in her
cage. She turned out to be a good queen. The hive we put her in was
always a sorry hive but it was one of the most productive ones this
fall.

I hope that's just a sprain. Sounds like he did some tumbling down the
driveway. I'm glad you got the shot and pills for him right away -- that
should really help him.

Yes, I just remember a post that you sat the package on the counter and
then it was gone! You didn't know how to tell your husband. I got a good
chuckle out of that -- the cats hiding their new toy. I'll bet it was a
lot of fun for a cat, something buzzing around inside.
I'm glad you found her and she wasn't harmed.
