We have an animal cruelty case currently being tried in the Fulton County
court system in Georgia. I made the mistake of reading an article about it
today an can't get it out of my mind. Would you all ask your masters to
send soothing purrs to the jury having to hear this case and purrs that they
reach a justified verdict. A few purrs for a puppy that deserved better in
life would be nice as well.
For anyone curious about the case I'll give you a few details below the
warning line but I ask that you either not reply to this message, top post
if you do reply or cut the bottom from this message so that those people who
are sensitve to horrible abuse don't have to read this. If you absolutely
don't want to read this please don't read any further messages on this
thread. Trust me, if you are sensitive, you do not want to know about this
case!

This is a case of two teenage brothers, ages 17 and 19, who tortured a
puppy. First they covered it with spray paint and tried to set it on fire.
When it wouldn't burn they duct taped its mouth shut then put it into a gas
oven and baked it...alive. There were descriptions of the inside of the oven
where the puppy tried to claw its way out of the oven.

"Kids"? At least the nineteen-year-old is legally an adult!
Small children can be cruel because they don't really
understand they are being so - that hardly applies in this case!

have a moments peace for the rest of their life. MLB

I don't think the law anywhere in the U.S. would ALLOW the
"right" verdict. IMO the perpetrators should be given the
same treatment!!!! (Here, the worst they could get - even
for the torture killing of a human - is a death sentence,
which usually involves a painless injection.)

Purrs and prayers are on the way, Julie.
I hope I never have to serve on an animal or child abuse jury, I pity the
defense attorney and the defendants if I do. I know that I would have
nightmares for a long time.
I hope the laws there allow for more than a slap-on-the-wrist punishment.
Please let us know the outcome.

Last week I was forced to endure Jury duty selection. Some crack head
slammed his 2 year old into the ground and tried to blame it on a bike
accident even though he drugged tested positive for cocaine. They drilled
me hard I kept telling them if I saw any dead pictures of babies I would
come leave or got nuts after this SOB. I finally got dismissed when I stood
up and said if this was a adult on adult I would gladly do But there is a
special place in hell for animal and child abuser. All I see is dead child
and nothing more. I believe they found him guilty on all charges

Matthew,
Do you know what the sentence was? I know that in Texas it is a capital
offense to kill a child (I think the age is younger than 6) and the killer
can get the death penalty. You don't want to get the death penalty in Texas,
because they will carry it out.

LIFE due to a plea bargain to testify in another case the girlfriend was
found guilty on child neglect and allowing child abuse to happen she got 15
years no parole
I truly felt like I was a victim in the jury selection. I was drilled like
no tomorrow. I told the judge would you just like me to say a racist
statement or get up and go spit in the defendants face to make it easier on
you to dismiss me. The judge got a laugh out of it and actually thank me
for " being brutally honest" during the selection. I told the judge my
Daddy taught me a few things one was speak the truth no matter what you are
the one going to have to get up and look your self in the mirror in the
morning if you can't go back to bed.
To be honest I wanted to rip the guys throat out. I hate 3 things in the
world with a passion that could only be described as a pure hatred. 1)
animal abusers 2) child abuser or molesters 3) elderly abusers. I hate
these 3 things with fiber in my being. When I was with the shelters a few
times I had to be pulled off the person who we caught abusing an animal.
Some one has to stand up for those who can't. I will gladly face the jury
over this.

deserve.

This also breaks my heart. Purrs for the soul of that puppy. Purrs for
animals who experience such cruelty. Purrs for those on the jury. Major
prayers that the offenders will be severely punished and never able to
harm again. What a screwed up planet we live on.

that is absolutely sick, i truly hope those 2 sick bastards get a life
sentence and end up locked in cells with real nasty bastards like
themsleves and that they then get buggered to death or similar, they
are absolutely sick sick sick, they have no respect for life and in my
view do not deserve to have a life anymore themselves. These guys have
somethign seriously wrong with them mentally and it is only a short
step from serious animal abuse to serious child abuse, in fact there
have been strong links shown that people (adults) who have commited
horrific violent crimes against humans started off by doing similar to
animals when they were kids, purely because they have no concept of the
value of life. these 2 should be locked away not just as a punishment
but for the good of society
why can't we get them and do exactly what they did to the puppy to
them? i would do that happily, it woudl be only what they deserve, no
in fact it would be too good for them. the whole thing makes me so very
very angry i really hope that the judge and jury throw the book at them
and that they get the crap kicked out of them in prison.
I swear that if I was anywhere near that courthouse now I would not be
responsible for my actions towards these 2 evil creatures, and I would
not regret it either.
please let us know if justice is done, god I hope it is, but don't tell
us if they get off ligfhtly as i dont; think i coudl take it; it would
be an insult to the precious life of that puppy who was deserving of a
decent existence just like any other living thing
i ahve to go and hug my pusscat now and thak god that she is with me
and not in the hands of who-knows-what kind of evil bastard

for thise kids; something is not right with a person for them to do that. It

Justice had better be served! Major purrs that the jury is a furry-loving

{{{{{{{{{{Adrian}}}}}}}}}} What a terrible burden of grief to bear!
When I get really depressed I try to keep in mind, and to focus on, how the
families of suicide victims must feel - I would never want anyone to have to
go through that kind of grief because of me.

Purrs that the jury (and judge) know that this type of behavior predicts
future serial killers (and wouldn't it be nice if it were enough that an
animal was hurt/killed in order to get a just verdict without even having to
consider possible future human victims).

Fortunately, in Geogia, animal cruelty is a felony. Unfortunately it is
only punishable by 1-5 years in prison and $15,000 fine. If anyone is
interested, there is a petition on Thepetitionsite requesting that the
DA aggressively seek indictment of felony charges against these two
brothers. There is information there about the case. If you don't want
to read about it you might not want to sign the petition, but if you're
interested it can be found at:
http://www.thepetitionsite.com/takeaction/564805100?ltl=1165938036
They had a goal of 1,500 signatures, there are currently 13,449 signatures.

We send soothing purrs to the jury from England. Thanks so much for the
warning line. I didn't read below it, I have more than enough nightmares
already.
I have to be very careful about what I read or watch on TV because of this.
I've been prone to nightmares from childhood, I don't know why. When my
colleague's dog got killed last year she wanted to tell us about it, and I
had to say "please don't talk about it while I'm in the room, it will prey
on my mind and give me bad dreams."
