Holly and Duffy have decided that I should *never* settle down to do any
work.  Holly always walks back-and-forth, back-and-forth across the
keyboard, almost from the moment I sit down in front of the computer.  Then
she will sit beside the keyboard and very gently reach out and touch my
face.  Of course, I *must* stop typing and begin petting at that point.
Duffy also has his own specialty.  As soon as I sit down to read the
newspaper, he jumps up on the arm of the chair, then steps up onto my chest
and stretches out for a nice rest, purring all the while and head butting my
chin.  Have you ever tried to look around a gray and white lump of fur to
read, all the while turning your face because his face is right in yours?
Well, of course, you give up after a few minutes and give him your total
concentration.  Right?  Right!!

Yoda doesn't allow anyone to read a newspaper. Not even a sale
circular. The *second* he hears paper rustle, he's on top of it
settling down. We practically have to hide from him to read a paper.

One of Nanki-Poo's favorite tricks is to get on my computer desk in front of
the monitor.  I then pick him up and put him on my lap.  He settles down
until I stop petting him.  Then he rests his chin on the keyboard.  I have
to remove his chin, skritch it and then delete what he has added to the
message I was writing.  I get a few more words done before the process is
repeated.  He just did that.  He does get tired of the game and get down
after a while, so I can get back to what I'm doing.

Hehehehe, been there.

Mischief always has to be RIGHT in front of the monitor.  Once she did
it while i was trying to play World of Warcraft and got int the way
while my character was in battle.  Of course i coudlnt' see and ended
up dying.  Varmint....

She also likes to curl up on TOP of hte monitor too.  Or streeeeeetch
out on top of my desk in front of the monitor.

Cats....

Awwww, I love those!  Paw tip touches are as soft as a down feather.
Headbutts are also sweet.
