Well, I've got another one for the collection - not the best one yet but not
bad ...  http://tinyurl.com/y9am59

I made them wait while I went to get the camera and they weren't too happy
with me!

I think I pointed out last time that I posted this album that in all but one
picture, Chester is on the LH side and Otis is on the RH side.  Same with
this new one ...

Aww, they do not look happy to be kept waiting. You have snow! We had
snow in November, but it's all gone and we are having the warmest
December in years.

Well, we had snow in November that disappeared as well.  Then it snowed
again in late November and early December and went down to the -20's C for a
couple of weeks.  We're chinooking again now so its been above freezing for
a week and looks that way for the next week.  The temperature went from -26
to +10 in 24 hours - my aching head.

I WANT MORE SNOW!!!!

Wow, we don't get rapid changes like that. I would like a little snow,
too. It's so dark this time of year without it. The sun is up only about
4 hours per day now.

Our shortest day is just under 7 hours of daylight.  What time does the sun
come up there for the 4 hours then?  We are 8:37 AM to 4:31 PM.

Today it's 9:16-3:12 here in southern Finland. 9 more days, then it
starts to get lighter again!

What a pair of cuties! Chester is such a handsome kitty. Whereas Otis looks
a bit scary - it's the big black eyes. Like he's dreaming up a few threats
and curses to throw your way if you don't get to the door ASAP. :)

When I first read this sentence I thought, "She *made* cats wait? This
is possible??" LOL. Now I understand - wait to come in. They *do* look
rather put out! :)

I was thinking the same thing!!!!!!!!!!  LOL.  Then, same as you, I went,
oh, duh.  They want *in*.

I thought that at first, too. How did she make them wait? When I go to
get the camera, Mir and Cal invariably beak up any cute position they
were in.

Chester is blushing.  Otis does have a way of looking rather put out all the
time - its an unfortunate facial expression that he has.  His other eye is a
nice yellow/green colour but the dark one has just pigmented like a freckle.
You can see in his early pictures two clear eyes and then it gradulaly
darkened to where it looks almost black now.

What a terrible mom I am.  It really wasn't cold at all, considering our
usual weather, so I knew that they wouldn't suffer unduly by the entire 3
minute wait.  Three minutes can be rather a long time when you're a cat and
there's a door in the way though :-)

That really is a most amazing album. It would make a very cute framed
series.

It really makes me laugh.  I haven't been vigilant about it in the last
couple of years and the pics have really dropped off.  I have to start
carrying the camera around a bit more I think because they do it all the
time!

Thank you!  They're a pretty tight pair considering that Otis is wildly
protective and jealous of his mom.  Chester really has been very adaptable
considering all that he has to put up with ;-)

they got warm quickly.

Poor babies - its as warm as its going to get all winter - downright balmy
in fact.  They're just a couple of fuddy duddy middle aged cats these days
:-)

I get a real kick out of it.  They've lived together for over 10 years now
and their instincts make them respond to things in the same manner -
twitching of ears to the direction of a sound and such - that's its just a
matter of stalking them with a camera for a while to get the shot.

Frank and Nikki did the symmetrical thing, too. Since they were both
mainly black, but Nikki was about half the size of Frank, the effect
could be very funny. I didn't get enough pictures of it, though.

The one on the right seems to be saying "I can see her in there, why
doesn't she open the darn door already?  Goofy humans!"

I think Otis is trying to remember the part of the new carpet where he
hasn't yet barfed so that he can get revenge, actually ;-)
