One year ago today, Frank was released from his suffering. I dream about
him and Nikki at least once a week, but fortunately, they are happy
dreams, not nightmares. Usually I'm just playing with them, or they play
some b*st*rd cat trick on me.
His web page at http://koti.welho.com/mkurten/frank.htm is still a bit
unfinished, but I've added a link to his story in his own words, The
Chronicles of Frank: http://koti.welho.com/mkurten/chronicles.htm
and the island adventure The Rime of the Ancient Islander:
http://koti.welho.com/mkurten/rime.htm
They are both very long, so I'll understand if you don't want to plow
through them, but I just wanted his stories to be out there.
I miss you so much, my darling boy.

Marina, I actually thought about that, but was not going to mention it.
The reason I remembered is because today is my wedding anniversary and
for some reason I remember reading about Frank last year on that day.
I know you still miss him awful. He was a grand old cat, and we all
miss him too.

Happy anniversary, Sherry. It's nice that there are good things to
counter-balance the bad ones.

When I remember Hugo Katt going to the RB on November 30th I will
always be very sad. But I will also always think that it is Miranda's
birthday. A day of both sorrow and happiness.
Hugs Marina.

I wonder if anyone ever forgets the date one of their beloved kitties
goes to the RB. I know I won't.
I still remember when I first started reading RPCA, quite a few year
ago, reading about he adventures of Frank and Nikki; especially their
stories from their island, and all the wonderful photos, as well.
I never dream about my two RB kitties; I wish I did.
Purrs for you on this sad day.

Thank you, TC. It's nice to dream about them, but the bad part is waking
up and realizing all over again that they are gone.

Nope, they are etched on my brain.
Polly my beloved torite girl was 17 March 1993
Sir William was 1st October 2000
Petra (my d*g) was 9th February 2003
And despite the years I still shed some tears every time I think about
them.
I'll be lighting a candle for them, Frank, Nikki and all the other RPCA
Rainbow Bridge kitties tonight.

Frank was a beautiful, wonderful boy. Of course you still miss him.
I hope C & M can be good nurse kitties for you today.
I've bookmarked the stories for when it's not midnight and I have
time to read them!

I think that sometimes when we have dreams about our kitties, it's
actually them dreaming about their hoomins, pulling us into their
thoughts and their world.

I'm almost certain that kitties dream more about us than we do about
them. We know they sleep more than hoomins. And we definitely know
they dream.
We're lumbering giants, always preoccupied with so many things.
Kitties, are the opposite, being discreet, yet vigilant. Observant
and aware of us, watching for treats, watching so that they don't get
sat on. We're a big part of their lives.
Kitties sleep, and they dream kitty dreams. That world parallels this
world, and there are skwirrels, and there are birds... and we're there
too.

Always remember We will be there even if you can't see us.
We are always Watching and Waiting. That cool puff of air you
feel across your cheek, that fleeting touch, the feeling you have
that I was walking across your bed, that moment you swear you can
hear us, that flicker of movement out of the corner of your eye.
Is just our way of saying I love you and I am with you always even
in the darkest time We Will Always Be There. Till our paws touch again
always know we love you and cherished our special time together

You were gone before I knew it.

My heart still aches with sadness.

What it meant to love you-

But now I know you want me
to mourn for you no more:

I pledge to you today-

Frank was a Magnificat--it's natural that his absence and Nikki's still
causes you pain. But you released him from his pain and weariness, as I
released Pan. I too, have been thinking of my dear old fellow on these
chilly nights when he's not there to ask to get under the covers after
I've settled into bed. I'm fortunate to have the girls who are
excellent company, and excellent bed cats, but I haven't forgotten Izzy
or Pan for a minute.
