I got email from the founder of The House of Mews about Spotty the rescue
kitty!  I have the permission to post the update from the owners who seem to
be Danish.  They live in the U.S. in the Memphis area but their email
address is still .dk.  Spotty has won their hearts.  It's so good to get a
follow-up from the rescue!

"Spotty is very happy to be with us.  He settled right in.  It was amazing.
a 15 minute snoop around the house and he snuggled right up beside us.  He
is very sweet and even loves our 3 yr old son.  He lets him brush him and
pet him and doesn't even realize he is smaller and moves alittle more
dangerously than the rest of us.  So we are all very pleased.  Spoty nips
with his teeth a bit but it seems to be affectionate and he doesn't hurt
anyone.  He had a bath a few days after arrival and did very well and loves
being shiny and fresh.  He is eating and drinking (preferably from the
bathroom tub) and putting on alittle weight.

Thank you so much for what you do!  We would not be able volunteer,
unfortunately, but we would be happy to bring supplies when needed.  Let us
know!

Thanks,
Erica, Jes, Krestian and Spotty"

I think his drinking from the bathroom tub might be due to my having kept
him him in the bathroom for a few days.  He had a bowl of fresh water and
gooshy food - the poor guy was so skinny and hungry! - but he also had
access to the bathtub and was probably trying to drink from the faucet even
though it wasn't running.

I'm happy Spotty found a good home.  I'll post the photo of him drinking
from their bathtub on alt.binaries.pictures.animals.

YAY for Spotty!  Got a good home!

That is such wonderful news! And thank you for rescuing him and making
it possible for him to have a good life.

Shucks, twarn't nuthin'. :D  The poor little guy had been hanging around
outside long enough for me to know he'd been abandoned.  When Persia came
and demanded to be let inside (she's vocal when she wants to be!) she wasn't
in nearly as poor shape as little Spotty.  It wasn't a hard decision to try
to get him help and a home.

It's mentioned near the end of Jill's OP.  It's posted in
alt.binaries.pictures.animals, and it's very, very, extremely cute.

Oh, too bad - I can't get that site! Any possibility of putting it on
another site...?

Thank you!! :) Is it just the one photo, of Spotty drinking from the
bathtub faucet? Cute picture. Spotty looks much healthier!

I just saw the picture of Spotty in the tub and he is so pretty. And I
am so happy that he now has a wonderful forever home. And so quickly!
