BK's first internship as a housecat went reasonably well, despite
Dulce Mae's best efforts to sabotage him.
While Dulce Mae did not attack, per se, she did make threatening
noises, and ran up at him a few times, making him very nervous. Much
to BK's credit, he creatively avoided Dulce Mae's rude tactics by
cuddling with the humans, under the blankets.
Just before bed, I looked in on BK, and found him surrounded by Dulce
Mae and Little Boy. BK was in the "please don't hurt me!" submissive
pose on his back, with his front paws curled up. I decided this might
be a problem, so I scooped him up and brought him to bed.
It didn't take him long to adjust to the big, comfy bed, and I believe
he purred all night. When I got up in the middle of the night, he
shifted to laying on top of Senyah. I watched him for a while, as he
looked over the top of the covers, trying to figure Senyah out (grin).
Finally, he curled up on the chair next to Senyah's side of the bed.
In the morning, Buster and BK both meowed to be let out. I did make
them wait until I had some food for them, however. While they were
waiting, Buster and BK had a conversation - I can only assume that BK
was reporting on his sleepover to Master Housecat Buster. It was just
hilarious to see and hear.
Finally, Buster escorted BK outside, where the two of them had a
mutual grooming session atop the air-conditioner.
Hugs and Purrs,
