I just found Baby Eyes laying on top of Abelard in his *tiny* bed and
washing him from stem to stern! Maybe she thinks she's been neglecting him?
I tried taking pics of them but the location is way too dark.

Hope they keep each other (and you) warm for the next few days.  Sometimes a
store like that doesn't realize what a hardship it is when they close early
and there are some that don't have many other options.

Was the store's power on?  If not, that probably necessitated closing
early.  Anymore, everything is so dependent on electricity (scales, cash
registers, refrigeration, etc.) that if there's no power there's no
point in staying open because they can't check out anyone (cash
registers are just computers now).  And we couldn't even call them to
find out what was wrong -- their phone system was down due to no power.
This store was totally down for 2 1/2 days because they had no power.

I have no idea why Pat's choice of grocery closed early, but power
outage might have something to do with it.

We haven't had any power outages from this storm yet.
