This is just a general update.

Lily has spent the last few days shredding a phone directory.

Beatrice and Abelard are still best buddies and chase one another all over
the house several times a day. Beatrice being the baby of the family has
been getting a great deal of attention lately from Baby Eyes, in the form of
many long, slow, loving baths.

Abelard has turned into a big man lately. He continues to surprise me with
new behaviors like chasing Eli and using a "dirty" litterbox. He's also been
very demanding of attention and FOOD. What a huge appetite he has compared
with the past! But very finicky.... He loves his own bed but occasionally
needs to snuggle with me under my blanket.

Billy is a major lovebug lately and so is Tommy. They both have to spend
part of each day in my lap. When Tommy jumps up, if I don't immediately stop
whatever else I am doing, he pulls at my clothes with his claws.

Baby Eyes gets the zoomies about twice a day. Usually she plays by herself,
tossing a stuffed rabbit around with her mouth open very wide (as if she's
about to bite the air) and an insane gleam in her eyes. Sometimes another
cat will join in her frenzy, and sometimes she has a mild asthma attack
after a play session, so I give her half a theophylline tablet.

After strong thunderstorms all evening, we're now under a winter storm
advisory. Odd weather for late November, early December here. We don't often
see any real winter weather, even in the winter.

I've been sick since Friday with some sort of gastric disturbance. All I
want to ingest is hot Chinese tea and aspirin, and I'd like to sleep all
day. Baby Eyes is the best nurse cat I could ever ask for.... a crazy ball
of love.

What a loving family you have, Pat. I only have Lily
and I don't get enough loving. You're blessed.

I count these furry blessings many times each day.

Sounds like time for you to visit your local shelter. Plenty extra
love-givers waiting for you there!
