Well, this time she made me wait for it, worrying when it would come, my
head resting uneasily on my pillow.  She waited all through Sunday night
thinking I would let my guard down, become complacent - then struck even
harder in vengeance last night.

Every time I go away from home on a vacation, Bandit gets very, *VERY* angry
with me.  Years ago she would bite me as soon as I tried to greet her after
returning from my trip.  Then she got cagey, she would wait until I was
asleep that night and then strike.

Now, as I said, she waited two whole days and a night, then last night
savaged my hand, biting me not once but *THREE* times in a row before I
could even wake up enough to move my hand out of her way.

This morning I'm changing the blood soaked sheets while she lies there on
the bed, smugly thinking that she's taught me a lesson I won't soon forget!

Keep a watch for any signs of infection.  If your hand starts
developing red streaks, go get medical treatment immediately.  Bite
wounds, whether from humans or animals, can lead to some nasty
infections.

Dylan's coming home for one night on Dec 2.  Often Nocturne will snub
him for a day or two in retribution--this time the joke will be on her,
since he has to leave the next morning for New Brunswick, but he'll be
sad if he can't get a headnox.

Bandit has lost NOTHING in her old age.

I dread to think what Dunzi and Sarsi are going to do when Paw gets back!

I hope your hand is ok, CN, but if it's not, please go see a doctor.

Thanks Polonca (and everyone else who replied).  It's a week later and my
hand is still sore at the spot of the deepest bite, but not infected.  I get
regular tetanus shots since Bandit has *always* been a biter, so I should be
just fine.
