Lamentably late, might I add, as they've been part of the extended
family for some months already. You'll recall that my father and
stepmother were guardians to my original owner, Min (RB), when I moved
away to Hong Kong. After Min's untimely demise, and the tragic loss of
her immediate successor Tiddles in traffic, my father and stepmother
decided to adopt.
Pudding was adopted because she was an adult and hard to re-home. A
"fluffy" black cat, who at the time was a bag of nerves and who had an
apparent disability - she walked very unsteadily. After a comparatively
short period of being spoiled and receiving proper care and diet,
Pudding is now confident and fully socialised. She is a chronic pettins
addict, very gregarious, and awfully well-mannered. Also, since she
lost a lot of her weight, she walks without problems and is adept at
cornering the red-dot greebling. She likes to drink blackcurrent juice.
Libby was adopted as a kitten. She's a mighty hunter, and specialises
in shrews. She's also the deepest feline sleeper I have ever met. Last
time I visited she was asleep on my bed and when I lifted her she was
totally limp; I relocated her from just below the pillow to somewhere
more convenient and she didn't even flicker an ear.

Beautiful black kitties! I love the "undraped Libby" and the "Pudding
waiting for dinner" photos. She does look somewhat annoyed that the only
thing available for dinner seems to be tomatoes.
Glad to meet your (somewhat) new family members.

Libby has an adorable tummy, and Pudding looks right at home waiting

Well, Pudding is extremely well mannered. She is a paragon of
etiquatte, so to speak. She would never ever descend to Libby's fraffly
rude mealtime technique of running desperately from the feet of one
diner to the next, squawking frantically, prodding with the paw, and
generally making a nuisance of herself.
Instead Pudding merely sits in a vacant chair, and when she doesn't get
a plate of dinner all of her own, she just looks sad, and a little
confused. "Oh, they've forgotten to bring my dinner. Well, I shan't
make a fuss." Nobody can tolerate her forlorn little face for more than
two or three minutes, and then the titbits start being passed across.
She gets more hoomin food that way than Libby manages with her
persistent nagging, and expends not a joule of energy in doing so.
This may explain why she has a tendency to run to "fluff".

They both sound too cute to remain thin through Thanksgiving. :)

Luckily they're English cats so there will be no Thanksgiving dinner
for them. Your speculation is broadly correct though, and after
Christmas dinner they will both be extremely spherical.

Pudding is absolutely beautiful, and Libby looks like a proper
hoolikitten. Congratulations on new extended family members (hmm, that
didn't come out quite right...).

Awwww, Al, that is so cute. I'm sorry about Min, I was probably out of the
group having a snit when she passed. I'm sorry to read that she's gone. I
loved your stories about her.
I'm glad that your parents adopted Pudding and Libby. They both sound like
thoroughly wonderful fursibs to have.

I'm still in Hong Kong. In fact, I suspect I've settled here for the
foreseeable future. Soon I will have to start looking for a cat...
