I never received a new address from Britta - come on Britta, we'd like to
add you to the receive only list if you're too busy to participate.
Also, Lena never responded to my emails nor Inge or Bridget. Unfortunately
Krista is unable to particpate and she has moved and didn't share her new
address.
I started to add Steve Touchstone who was on the receive only list last year
but I was unsure if he was still living at the same address. Steve if
you're reading this let me know if we can still send to your old address.
I *wish* Tak would share his address (hint hint)
Matthew was unable to participate this year and I never heard from Randy.
Tension, I sent you an email but didn't hear back from you, did you want to
participate?

but if you didn't get the list and are expecting it, let me know.

Julie,
I got the list. Thanks. I'm replying here because I never know if you get
emails I send until much later. Right now I'm thinking of a message I sent
you on May 1st of this year. Wondering if I should re-send....

You might want to resend Pat. I don't remember an email from you in that
timeframe. Around that time things had become hectic and I wasn't able to
check my comcast email as often as I liked. I eventually had to erase large
numbers of email messages and yours might have been lost in that group
although I try not to do that.

I have a confession to make - recently, I've gotten in the bad habit
of not checking the mailbox with any sort of regularity.

Getting great Christmas cards with pictures would get you out of that
bad habit. Besides, did you know - I found this out from personal
experience - if you don't check your mail for a period of 10 days, they
can take all the mail in it and put return to sender on it saying you
don't live there anymore and then continue to return all your mail
address unknown until or unless you do something to stop them and then
they will get onto you for not checking your mail - even if you were in
the hospital on short notice and didn't have time to put in a hold mail
and were too sick to even think of doing such a thing.
So, be careful about no checking that mail.
And even though I will be receive only, I would send you a card if you
would share your address with us just because it would be your first
year. I would pick out a special card just for you.

Awww. It's really the thought that counts. Thank you for your
thoughts.

Julie, no can do! Last year you were sweet enough to include me in the
receive only list, but enough's enough. I would feel absolutely too
terribly guilty receiving cards and not sending 2 years in a row for the
simple reason that I'm too busy to participate. And my kind of busy is
probably nothing compared to many of you folks' busy. I am just a wimp,
I admit I'm a bit of a spoiled brat ;-) You know what they say, like
cat, like hoomin!
So I am going to keep my address a secret until next year when I hope to
participate again. But thank you so much for thinking of me, I really
appreciate it. It means as much to me as if I were actually receiving
all the cards.

this being my first real with the group. I can't participate due to
personal family problems. I will next year. So apologies to the group but

Y'know, there are a number of people that are on the list as "Receive Only",
and a majority of us mail cards to them anyway - simply because we enjoy
sending cards, even if others cannot (for whatever reason)!
Please let us add you to our lists!

I wouldn't mind being on send only, but this semester is kicking my butt
royally so there isn't a chance in the world I'm going to get anything
out. Besides, when this semester is over, I'm not going to do anything
resembling work until next semester starts!!! (It probably wouldn't be
so bad if I didn't insist on all A's, but I figure that since I can make
them I ought to get them it just makes for a lot of work.) I'll send my
new address on to you Julie - yeah, that was a fun part of the semester
too - moving. ;)

When I hit "Reply" (not to group) your address shows as being @google.com
and here you say @googlemail.com but neither one sounds right. Isn't the
email associated with google @gmail.com?

Shirley's in the UK, where "gmail" was already a trademark before
Google arrived with their mail service. As Wikipedia says:
"In October 2005, Gmail withdrew use of username@gmail.com within the
UK, due to a dispute with the UK company Independent International
Investment Research (IIIR), who own the gmail.co.uk domain. From
October 19, any new UK users wanting a gmail account were forced to
have username@googlemail.com. There is still a concern that old UK
users will also have to change to the new domain sometime in the
future."

Hitting reply won't work which is why I gave my address (modified) and
googlemail dot com is correct.

I, too, cannot send conventional cards but I can do email kitty cards :) So
if you'd like to receive one from me, please email me (don't, as Shirley
said, hit REPLY here - with the number of posts I may never see your
request!). My email address is not munged. jmcquown@bellsouth.net.
