We went to Dennis's niece's house for thanksgiving yesterday and her cat had
kittens about 8 weeks ago so you can just imagine how much fun we had playing
with the kittens. They were all so adorable. One especially stood out, he is
predominately white with black spots. He has a little tuff of hair on his
forehead that looks like a 50's style big hairdo. Then we thought of Kramer of
all people, so he is now named Kramer. He is such a lovable little guy, he kept
licking my nose and rubbing his head against my cheek. We just fell in love
with him. His niece tried to get us to take him home, we said we would go home
and discuss it. Well I'm sure you can guess the rest. We are going over later
today or tomorrow and bring him home. I'll post some pictures.

Momma cat is going in to get spayed next week.

CONGRATULATIONS!! He sounds like a cutie. Looking forward to seeing
the photos. Kittens are, it can't be argued, a dangerous thing. :)

Sounds absolutely adorable!  Too bad actor Michael Richards had to show is
a** recently.  The character of Kramer was hiliarious and it sounds like
Kramer the kitten will be a fun addition to the household!  Can't wait to
see the photos :)

Total lack of sympathy here! You are talking to the one who so
determined to only have 1 kitten out of the two on offer (We weren't
sure we could afford two) that this madwoman and Dave (also mad I
guess) went to a house to pick the ONE kitten

Guess how many kittens moved in next day?

Yay!!! Kittens are irresistible. Which is one of the reasons I'm not
allowed at the Humane Society Shelter anymore... ;-)

Your rule - or theirs?  Were you caught trying to smuggle kittens out again?

Tom's rule. Last time I went there was to sign the adoption papers of
Fez and Rufous. :)

Aww, congratulations. Is there any way the kitten could stay with his
mummy for a little longer, though? Usually 12 weeks is considered the
minimum for kittens to stay with their mothers. Looking forward to the
pictures!

Kelly's husband says they have to go or he is putting them outside. They live
in a very rural area and we don't want to take a chance  that a hawk or fox
might get him. A white kitten would stick out like a sore thumb. They do have
access to the basement but I don't want to take a chance. Wish we could take
them all. She tried to take them to the no kill shelter, but they would'nt take
them. He should be alright, Mama doesn't nurse them anymore.

I'm so excited!

I'm sure he'll be fine! At least you have other cats who can teach him
all the catly things he needs to know, that his mummy might not have
time to teach him. My Nikki was only 8 weeks old when I brought her
home. She had already learned to hunt from her mummy (certainly didn't
learn it from Frank - it took her ten years to teach *him* how to hunt).
She was eating solids, but was still baby enough to want the comfort of
sucking her mummy, but Frank kindly let her 'nurse' on him, so she was
quite happy from the start. I'm excited for you!
