Imagine my surprise when I called her house to leave a message letting her
know how many furry felines are purring for her, and Christy answered the
phone! I stammered, "Uh, Christy???" I thought for a minute she hadn't
gone to Jacksonville for her tests and surgery. Turns out they forwarded
the house phone to Allan's cell phone and they were just leaving the Mayo
Clinic after a final consultation with the surgeons.
She's scared to death but overall sounds pretty good, considering. She
asked me to thank all of you for your caring and your fuzzy ones for their
purrs :)
Surgery is slated for 11AM tomorrow. The surgery is estimated to take about
about 7 hours. Her mother, whom she isn't close to and hasn't seen in
*years* has insisted on flying from Washington (state) to be with her
tomorrow. She said she's actually more stressed about that at the moment.
Anyway, here's her "thank you". She loves this newsgroup! I'm glad I
introduced her to you gals & guys :) She's a peach!

I'm so glad her mom is coming out. I hope that this leads to a new
relationship with her. Im sure she is terrified. I would be. My most
fervant prayers.
