I made some cornbread muffins. After I finished eating dinner there was
still half a muffin on my plate on the coffee table. I was watching
television. I don't know when she managed it, I sure didn't see her, but
Persia snagged that muffin! I discovered her happily munching away on the
other side of the coffee table. So... Persia likes cornbread! :)

I can almost see that little gray paw with the claws all the way out
sneaking ever so carefully over the edge of the table from here....
Of course that's the easy part. Moving the muffin ever so slowly takes real
skill.
Go Persia. You earned that one.

She doesn't have front claws, remember?! (No, I didn't do that to her.)

She's been acting like I've been starving her for over a month now. A week
ago she tried to sneak a french fry but she hadn't purrfected her sneak
approach yet. LOL

Now that would really take practice and finesse. Jake and Molly send their
respects.

Reminds me of when Sarah (RB) was a kitten, and how
I found out she liked Bran Muffins, of all things. I had
bought a little bag of six (those really thin plastic bags
like you get in the produce section), and each muffin
was in its little paper cuppie thing.....I had set the bag
on the kitchen counter, not thinking it risky, and gone
off. When I came back, I swear to you I saw the last
of the wax paper going down her throat, and no muffins
or paper to be seen anywhere. All six. She was only
about 8 weeks old, at the most.
I hovered anxiously for about three or four days,
but no diarrhea, no nothing. I learned to hide
the bran muffins after that, but she knew whenever
I was getting them out and came running!

I'm sorry, but this is hysterical! I can totally see her doing the
side-to-side look........did she see me? Hmmm, I think I'm clear! I'll bet
she ran away with that muffin in her mouth like a dog with a bone. LOL

Ahhh, but she's smarter than that! She didn't run off which may have drawn
attention to herself; she just hunkered down with it on the other side of
the coffee table, out of sight, and proceeded to have a snack :)

LOL, I live with two experienced thieves, myself.
Around here, Anything Meowmie is eating is assumed to be delicious. =o)
And the girls are NOT shy about asking for bites: "Mmmmm, that sure
looks good. You won't mind if I nibble on this little corner over here,
will you? Hey! it was only a wee little nibble.... No! don't push me
down off the table!" The only things the definitely don't like seem to
be oranges and broccoli.
