Beatrice hugs the water bowl

Mostly the cats stand in front of the water bowl and lean over it to drink,
but a while ago I noticed Beatrice laying half on, half off the bowl.

I know it sounds odd and I wish I had a photo to illustrate. For sure I'll
be keeping the camera handy in case I catch her doing it again. She had her
front legs on the rim of the bowl with elbows and paws sort of hanging off,
and her chest was also resting on the rim, while her back end laid on the
floor. To take a drink she just bent her head down.

We are in big trouble if Jake and Molly try that. Both of them drink only
from their own drinking glasses and I can see them knocking them over.

Oh it they will drink from whatever we are drinking out of if they can get
away with it.

heheh, yeah i had this client that had his cat hospitalized and we
couldn't get him to eat or drink. So the owner brought in this plastic
glass. He said that the cat always drank out of this glass at home, so
i filled it with water and put it in his cage. I remember the vet
coming in and saying "What is that?"

But sure enough, the cat eventually started drinking, not out of the
bowl of water we had provided for him, but out the the familiar glass
of water from home.

Go figure....
