Had it confirmed this evening. Had a CD of Jeff Wayne's 'War of the Worlds'
on the CD player in the kitchen as I was preparing the eveing meal. Marble,
the striped horror, jumped on the chair next to the CD player and
meatloafed, looking adoringly at the CD player the entire time.
He's a cat from Mars. I just hope he can't operate the heat ray. I shall be
keeping my eyes peeled for red weed.
I am afraid... very afraid...

That is one of my all time favorite recordings!!! Marble is simply an
arbiter of good taste!

Oh my goodness!! I didn't know that anyone else even knew about that
recording!! My brother brought it over from Germany when he was
stationed there, and my sister and I just love it, but my friends think
I'm a fool when I talk about it. They've never heard of it, never
heard it, and are not interested....
Very cool. I'll have to play it for Rita sometime.

Their loss. One of the best recordings of all time. I heard it at a party
when I was a teenager (the party was given by a service man, so I bet that
was really making the rounds with service guys at that time!). I was totally
entralled. It's total genious. I was thrilled to find the CD a few years
ago.

I am afraid. Mike loves the CD from the second War of the Worlds movie (the
one with the moody blues music on it) and all of the cats love it. What can
I say? I love the Moody Blues too.
