Mischief - 03 Nov 2006 07:57 GMT
Mayhem has developed a nightly routine with me.  I take a shower every
night and i come out of the bathroom in my robe and she's RIGHT there
waitng by the door.

Then she LEAPS onto the bed and starts crying for attention.  But of
course i'm trying to change into my PJ's so i can't always pet her
immediately.

So she keeps crying....  "Mom!!  MOOOOOM!!!!!  LOOK AT MEEEEE!!!!
DON'T YOU LOVE MEEEEEEEE???  PET MEEEEEEEEEE!!!"

This will go on for a bit until she grows tired of me 'ignoring' her.

"Okay, you asked for it.  Now I use my SECRET weapon!!"  And she flops
over on her back exposing her CUTE FLUFFY belly.  And also proceeds to
give me an upsy-downy head for added effect.

Well, in that case, she knows that I just HAVE to stop and rub that
FLUFFY belly!!  And if i stop for a moment to go back to getting
dressed she'll start crying and rolling on her back until i rub her
tummy again.   I'm a sucker for tummy rubs and she KNOWS it.  Besides
neither Imp nor Mischief will let me rub their bellies without chomping
on my hand.

Well....tonight she was SOOOOO into getting me to rub the belly that
she didn't quite see where she was rolling.  She got a LITTLE too close
to the edge of my bed.  She started her usual routine of crying and
then flopping over and rubbing the top of her head in an upsy-downy
head position and showing her irresistable belly.....

"MOOOOM!!!! Don't you want to rub the BELLY???  You KNOW you can't
resist the BELLY!!!!!  Don't you LOVE meeeeeeAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!"

Yup, over she rolled and OVER the edge she fell.  Landed on all four
feet, and scurried out the door while i couldn't help but laugh.  Now
she's cleaning her tail, and nursing her injured pride.

Ahh, it'll last until i crawl into bed and then she'll jump up begging
for attention again.

Silly dingbat....

LOL, I can relate.  Pua loves to hang off the edge of the bed or a chair
when she's getting her scritches and, like Mayhem, she falls off and runs
away.  It gives me a good chuckle every time it happens.  Yeah, and cats
*always* land on their feet................ RIGHT!  (not)

kili <-------- still chuckling.

My guys Fall. Down. The. Stairs.  I always tell them you're cats,
you're not supposed to fall down the stairs!  But they love playing on
the stairs, and fling themselves up and down them. Sometimes the
momentum just gets the better of them, and they just go somersaulting
down.  ;)

I love dingbats.  Dante is also a dingbat.  And a dingaling.
Actually, I've seen evidence that he's quite smart, but he's usually
so "in the moment" as actors say, that it never seems to matter very
much. ;)  He just sproings into action. ;)
