Charlie is about to drag me out to look at kittens. I'm not opposed by when
I think about what I want, a little girl with big ears and a long tail and
an attitude that likes to cuddle, it gets pretty obvious I want Rosie back.
Send some purrs you guys.

{{{{{{{{{{Jo}}}}}}}}}} Rosie is in a better place, but she will be looking
out for you always and will surely send you the perfect kitten to help you
forget the grief and only remember the good times you had with her.

Purrs that a little kitty will reach out to your heart. It might not be a
girl, you will see when you get there, but you will know who is the one.

One of the nicest phrases in the language, I think: "Going to look at
kittens." ;)

Well, that's over for now. There were only five or six cats there, one
already adopted but not picked up, four that didn't really appeal but that
will easily find a home, and one older cat that may be a little hard to
place, but was friendly and was attracting some lookers. So I got to pet a
few kittens and young cats but didn't fall in love. Didn't feel like I was
leaving any to a miserable fate either so not a bad trip.
There were a couple of dozen dogs. Mostly grown and mostly not particularly
"attractive". Just sad looking animals that break your heart.
Maybe next time.

Or maybe Rosie will guide some poor lost baby to your doorstep. Purrs
for you to meet up with someone who catches your heart.

This is so true. Some of our very best kitty companions were
strays that just showed up. Maybe one will come your way. At any
rate, we're sending purrs that you'll find the "just right" kitty very
soon.

We're sending gentle purrs. After losing Mikey, I wasn't ready for
Lula to decide to live with us, but now I have realized I've gone from
having to say I'm "not sorry" she and Hubert are here, to actually
being able to say I'm *glad* they're here. I hope you are soon able
to say the same thing.

Aww purrs to you, and don't be disappointed if you don't find one you you're
attracted to...Rosie will help with that. Last November, my little Nauti
passed away. She was born 3 years before to a feral mom in the bilge of a
winterized speedboat (Nauti = Nautica). She was always sickly, and tiny,
never getting over 3 pounds, but we worked through all that and I really
think she was happy here. One morning she was sitting on her window table
watching the birdfeeders and just passed away, with her head still on her
paws like she was sleeping. Less than a week later, a friend of mine from
work was feeding his cattle and found little Rumpleteaser in the pasture,
trying to eat cow feed. She was wary but not scared, so she took the
offered tuna and bottled water and spent the night in his barn with a heat
lamp. The next day I picked her up, and by the end of the day she was on
the window table. I think she and Nauti were talking about things....
Right now a kitten is looking for you....she'll be there.

Purrs that you find just the right kitten that you can love, and be
loved, for many years.

Comforting purrs for you. While a new kitten can't replace Rosie, he/she
may make it easier to heal the Rosie shaped hole in your heart.

Sometimes it's less about what you think you want and more about who
needs you...
Bast shall send you someone who needs you.
--Fil, who never "wanted" a rabbit-eating feral, nor was it
particularly ideal to adopt a pair of three week old kittens just
before a cross-country move, but you don't argue with Bast
