Thanks for the purrs and prayers. They helped. My mother crossed the bridge at 12:20 this morning. I'll probably be on line for a little while, but my son is coming over, and my daughter will be here this evening, so I won't be posting much for the rest of the day. It was peaceful, and a release from the problems she had been having over the past few weeks and days. She told me several times she was ready to go. Joy > Thanks for the purrs and prayers. My mother's death came as a surprise, but my father's death, 5 1/2 months later, came as a release from illness. I know the mixed feelings of sadness at being separated from your loved one, and also relief that their suffering is over. "Mourning is not forgetting . . . It is an undoing. Every minute tie has to be untied and something permanent and valuable recovered and assimilated from the knot. The end is gain, of course.
