If anyone has some purrs to spare can you purr for my friend's cat to
get his furry butt home.

My friend moved house a week and a half ago, and has been keeping the
cats in.  Unfortunately, her husband left a window open by accident and
Charlie disappeared sometime over Friday night.

Charlie is Fudge and Caramel's brother and Meg's son, so my three are
purring for him.

My friend has posted notices both near their new and old houses,
dropped notes through letterboxes and phoned the local rescue centres.

Thanks,
Kate.

Guiding purrs on the way for Charlie and calming headbutts to your
friend as well as Charlie. It must be frightening for Charlie as well as
your friend. He's found himself suddenly in unfamiliar territory and
can't find his Meowmy and Paw. Hopefully he'll be found really soon.

Many FBH purrs on the way to Charlie, and soothing purrs for your friend.

Has anyone moved into their old house yet? If so, they might want to
talk to those people to be sure they have a lookout for Charlie, since
it's quite possible he's headed that way.

Get-home purrs for Charlie, and for peace between your friend and her
husband - I know if I lived with someone who did that, I'd be ripping
mad!

Good news - over 2 weeks after Charlie disappeared, he has been found
:)

Some children at the local school recognised his picture from a poster
my friend put up as they'd seen him at the window of their neighbours
garage.  My friend went round there, and it was Charlie - a bit thinner
but otherwise okay.  He's been given a clean bill of health by the vet,
and is now microchipped.

Thanks for the purrs.

Kate.

That's great news! :-) Once more the power of the purr has worked.

Wow, that's wonderful! An animal welfare officer once told me that if
you're looking for a lost pet, the neighborhood kids are among your *best*
resources. Your experience certainly bears that out. Kids probably pay
more attention to the neighborhood's animals than most adults do.

By the way, I had this conversation with the officer because my own cat
was missing - and she ended up in a neighbor's garage, too. I found her
after a week (not with the help of neighborhood kids, although I did
receive one adorable phone message from a child who'd seen my "lost cat"
flyers and called to say she'd seen kitty footprints in her back yard).

Were the people whose garage Charlie was in at home? If so, I wonder
why they didn't hear him? I would think he'd cry to be let out before
the end of two weeks.

Anyway, I'm glad he's home again!
