Yeah, later this afternoon I realized that's what you meant by
indoor/outdoor statistics.. I think the only way we can get an accurate
number is to create a consensus from the vet clinics and that would only
include the cats that are under routine care and don't swap vets. I know our
former vet still considers us as patients but I have no intention of
returning.

About keeping him in on Halloween? Definitely! I wouldn't let any cat
out, no matter what color. Too many teenagers out to play pranks or do
something even more destructive. And often under the cover of a costume,
so they figure they can get away with it.

While there's very little evidence of the existence of organized
Satanic groups requiring all black cats for sacrificial purposes,
there's plenty of evidence of random sickos, occult dabblers and cruel
pranksters harming animals of all types. I would not let ANY animal
out on Halloween.
