On Sunday, my sister and our mum were coming over for a small supper to
celebrate my sister's and my birthdays (mine on the 14th, my sister's
the 15th). I put a table cloth on my dinner table instead of the wax
cloth that is usually there.
Caliban thought it was the most excellent idea to put a 'blankie' on the
table for him! As I was setting the table, every time I turned my back
and then went back to the table, there he was, lolling around on the
table cloth. I chased him off every time, especially after Mum came
(though she doesn't really mind - she just laughed at his cuteness,
doing upside-downy head on the table), but he kept coming back.
During the evening, he was more subdued, but this morning he
rediscovered the table cloth. Now that I had cleared away all that
unnecessary stuff (you know, like plates and glasses), he found that it
was great fun to burrow *under* the table cloth, and also to pull on a
corner until it fell down on the floor.
I think Miranda has been giving him interior-decoration lessons.

I just knew Miranda would get in on the action at some point. This
morning she has been arranging and rearranging the table cloth (I left
it on the table, of course. How could I deprive the kitties of their
'blankie'?).
Miranda bunched up one corner, then she smoothed it out and bunched up
another corner. Then she went into a frenzy, zooming back and forth over
the table and scrunching the table cloth here, bunching it there,
burrowing under it... Then she stopped a while to contemplate her work.
Then she zoomed out in the enclosure for some inspiration. Then she came
zooming back and rearranged the table cloth again. Then she stopped to
contemplate again. I am so lucky to get to see an artist at work in my
own home. ;o)

Smart woman. :)
Now where is the link to the pictures?? Both you *and* your sister,
two photographers par excellence, were there, and nobody took pictures
of upside-downy head on the table??

LOL, I second the movement! I like Caliban's reasoning. OBVIOUSLY you
put the blankie on the table for him to set off his fine coat and for
his comfort. =o) And Happy Birthday to you and your sister, Marina!
=o)

Sorry, no pictures. I think you are confusing my sister with my niece.
My niece is the one with the awesome pictures. She did visit me last
weekend, and she did take lots of pictures, but she is having computer
troubles, so she hasn't been able to post them yet.
Me, I didn't take any pictures, because my camera has come undone again.
I need to un-tape it to take out the batteries, charge the batteries,
then tape it together again. Too much work. ;o)

Oops! You're right! You are excused, too, since your camera isn't
working. :)

I think one of us should send Marina a new camera, Miranda and Caliban are
too beautiful for just one person. ;-)
