In a couple of hours, I sign the paperwork on a new job contract, so
the extended, unpaid vacation (3 months) ends on Tuesday the 17th.

I have to start working on the cats now, to let them know I'm going
back to work. Poor Senyah, will have to deal with the "Where's Mark?"
complaints for the first week or so.

Little Feet is already unhappy about all the recent interviews that
have kept me out during the day. He has been extra attentive, and has
been taking up his sleeping position on top of me, when we go to bed.

Of course, I also have Buster trying to either slip under my pillow,
between my arms, or under the blankets next to my legs. Dulce Mae
shows up now and again, but mostly to see if the other cats want to
play midnight zoomies.

Occasionally, Little Boy comes in to see what Little Feet is doing,
and tries to steal Little Feet's spot, by crowding him away. This
sometimes results in my having two cats on top of me - one of them
(Little Boy) VERY HEAVY.

So anyway, wish me luck and send me a few purrs. As with any new job,
contract or otherwise, I am very nervous.

Hugs and Purrs,
Mark

Good luck!  Sounds like the boys are doing the "Uncle Goopy" routine.

You've been doing this a long time, right? You've got the chops!

Purrs for a successful gig!

Right now, only three months with a possible extension. We'll see how
that goes.

I've done contracting work before, but it's continuous job hunting. I
hate job hunting.

I don't have any problems that twenty million dollars can't fix - so
I want 20 mil - I'm not greedy (grin).

Best of luck and new job purrs!  Congratulations on landing the job.  I hope
it turns out to be one where you're a perfect fit and really enjoy it.

Purrs for a smooth transition and an enjoyable job.  Purrs to the
kitties as well to comfort them in your daily absence.

They will get accustomed to the occasional treat ;-)

Listen to your furballs. Nothing better to soothe nervousness than a
purring cat.
