For people that don't normally have access to binary newsgroups try this
server,
dp-news.maxwell.syr.edu
A while ago it seemed to stop working but I just tried it and it has some
recent posts.

And then there's always Usenet-replayer at
http://www.usenet-replayer.com/groups/index.html
Just scroll down to the group you want.

Usenet-replayer isn't as good as it used to be, too many pop-up adverts that
are difficult to get rid of.

I just tried it. Didn't get any popups, but then I'm on Mozilla Firefox.
There were some small ads on the sides and above the pics, but nothing
going *pop* in your face.

And there are free pop-up blockers available for download if you care to
look :)

Thanks for the tip, I just tried it with Firefox and it's fine. :-)

Thanks for bringing my attention to this, Adrian. I use news.syr.edu as a
second newsreader purely to be able to look at abpa. There had been no
posts available since July and I was about to unsubscribe in the next few
days had you not posted this information. Cheers! Nice to see some pics
again.
I was going to try and bring their attention to the fact that abpa seemed to
have gone down, but, oh, shame on me, I have a free account and am not
entitled to use their help service apparently.
Maybe a real subscriber noticed, eh?

I use that to see abpa now, thank you Adrian for discovering them.
Best wishes,
