I swear I'm going to install a slide lock on the door to the pantry.  Twice
in 10 minutes I've heard this weird sound coming from the kitchen.  Both
times I went in and found Persia trying valiantly to drag the bag of Hill's
x/d past the trash can into the kitchen.  (How she thinks she'll get the
zip-lock top of the bag open, I don't know but I'm sure she'd figure it
out!)

You know I'm not starving her!  But a few days ago I had a plate on the
coffee table.  I'd finished all but part of a biscuit (like a scone for the
UK contingency).  Persia, who *never* jumps on tables or counters, well...
she didn't jump up.  She just leaned up when I wasn't looking and snagged
that biscuit right off the plate!  I didn't know until I wondered why she
was hunkered down on the other side of the table.  Later that evening I
still had some fries (chips) on a plate (can you tell I don't eat at a
proper table?) and she tried to sneak one of those, as well.  This time I
caught her in the act!

With the exception of the infamous Fancy Feast Caper of 2001, she's never
been so pushy about food.  Maybe she's hungrier because winter is coming?
I'm puzzled by these recent developments.

Heck  this pack over here I had to install a lock on  the frig   all
cabinets that they can reach have turn locks on them.  Made sure they were
cat proof   but I know they will figure them out one day.

Hey, Persia, you don't have to open the zip lock. Just do what we do and
tear right through the side of the bag. Meowmy just squeals with delight
when she finds a ripped open bag and cat food all over the floor.

Lately, Meowmy has given us a new puzzle, since we solved the cat food bag
problem so easily. She's been putting the cat food into big plastic
containers with lids, instead of leaving it in a bag. We consider it a
challenge. We don't know how to tear through the side of the plastic
containers yet, but give us time. We'll figure it out.

Soncek had much more of an appetite now that it's getting colder.
Best wishes,
