Joel is unusually subdued and depressed tonight. He says they were robbed
:-)
I didn't want it, I went to a movie instead. The best time to see popular
movies if you don't like crowds in on days with large sporting events.

I went shopping. I knew leaving the house that we were winning, and at the
shops there were lots of people gathered around big screen tvs watching.
Eventually I heard a lot of elated screaming and figured we must have won.
Work shall be interesting on Tuesday as I have about equally numbered
Eagles/Sydney supporting colleagues.
Noone in my family is really into footy. My dad still supports Carlton even
though he's lived in Perth for something like thirty years now!

Heh, I was at work and my co-worker is a total footy fanatic. I was
instructed beforehand to make sure I wear blue and yellow, so I did.
Hey, she's the boss! ;-)
Anyway, hardly any customers came in and at noon, I suggested she should
just zip home to watch the game with her daughters and then come back to
work. She gleefully jumped at the opportunity and I hung out at work.
3 groups of people came in for tastings (in 3 hours!) and I had the
radio on with the game, although it all went over my head anyway.
Basically I twiddled my thumbs for the whole time, read the paper and
stuck wine labels on some bottles.
After the game was over, my co-worker came back, jubilant. Suddenly a
bunch of customers appeared too, jubilant. Hee, funny how that works.
They all needed wine for their celebrations!
After work, I was careful on the road because I was worried there might
be a bunch of drunk drivers, but it all seemed ok. On the main street
in Margaret River, I could see from my car that all the pubs were full,
standing room only, even outside. But since Dennis is away, I just
stayed home this evening, so I have no idea what it's like out there
now.
I'm anticipating a rip roaring busy day at work tomorrow though. Better
get to bed right now!
