I have take yet another stitching class!  This one is over two different
days a week apart.  Called Basic Bargello.     This is a picture from the
chart packet
http://home-and-garden.webshots.com/photo/2356905740047371020wxvuVx, and I
so wanted to learn this!  So on 9/11 (!!!!) I headed off to the needlework
shop to learn this.  Pictures of the work start here (there are lots of
pictures)

The second day of the class we did some of the beadwork - and I have never
beaded before!

I did mess some things up and have to re-do them, but I finally finished it
tonight!

Now how to display it - do I frame it???  Make a pillow out of it???

That's gorgeous! I like the colors you chose, they're a bit brighter
than the original.

How do you know where to stitch - are you following a written pattern,
like in counted cross stitch?

Well, those are the colors that the shop where I took the class chose.  The
chart called for a brand of floss called Anchor, which the shop does not
carry, so they crossed it over to DMC colors.  The dark green borders are
more of a ribbon type fiber, and the multi-colored is a hand-dyed fiber.
Those are the exact ones that the chart called for.

Basically.  The chart was several pages, most of it instructions for the
different stitches.  There was one large sheet that showed 1/2 of the border
& frame (since it's a mirror image, why print the whole thing?), then each
quarter had it's own page, then there were instructions for the center, with
the beading & the button, and for the "frame",  So I started it in class on
the 11th of September, and finished it yesterday,.  Now it gets put aside
until I decide how to display it!

I've taken some other classes, but I haven't taken pictures of those
projects, so I haven't posted those - yet.
