Christina Websell - 25 Sep 2006 19:57 GMT Boyfriend usually appears within a few minutes of me getting home from work, no matter where he is he hears me arrive. Then he gets his supper and he is usually hungry for it.
It is now nearly 8 pm and he isn't here. I haven't seen him since this morning. Where can he be? It's a b*st*rd cat trick I suppose, but I am starting to get worried. I am trying to remain calm. Maybe he is still out looking at rats and forgot to come home. I shan't go out searching the roads for his body until tomorrow :-( Could I have some purrs that he gets his butt home a.s.a.p.? I shall be like my mother once was when I went missing myself. "I thought you were murdered, now I'm going to kill you!" she didn't but I know how she felt.

Yep, it was a b*str*d cat trick. He has eaten and is now off back down the garden to do important things in the dark. Phew.

Joy - 25 Sep 2006 20:26 GMT More magic purrs. They worked the same way when Nanki-Poo was missing. He showed up just a few minutes after I had posted asking for purrs and one person had responded.
Never underestimate the power of the purr.

Last winter, I wrote to ask for advice on how I could stop the cats from using their enclosure as a litterbox. After I sent that message, they just stopped. I didn't have to do anything.

That is a joke. I actually don't know what I'm missing either, because I've never watched this show. It sounds a little too mean for my taste. I did used to like the original Candid Camera show when I was a kid, though.

I am so cross that he worried me so much that he is getting no pettings until tomorrow. Not really ;-) Mainly both my cats stick to a specific routine, thus the concern that Boyfie wasn't here when I got home from work, he is usually meatloafing on the sofa or fast asleep on the spare bed. He roams around being a fierce cat only in the early morning. Then he needs to get his 16 hours sleep. I don't know where he was but I am glad he is back here in his home now.

Yes, it's funny but it stopped me picking him up, shaking him and saying "where the hell have you been, I've been worried out of my mind."
> I would be so sad if the beautiful and gallant Boyfriend went AWOL. Thank > god he is home! I would be devastated myself. He has crept his way into my heart and I really love him. Not because he is lovely to look at, which he is, but because of his wonderful temperament. He doesn't seem capable of having a bad thought. Even when he is afraid, like at TED's, he never shows his claws or teeth, he just submits with a sigh. I have never heard him growl in his whole life except when KFC has boxed his ears more than four times in a couple of minutes which surely has to be excusable.

Provocation does not count. I stopped reprimanding Luthien from beating Muezza Glorio up when I realized that: 1) Muezza Glorio is the one stalking her, not the other way around, and so she was sorely provoked. 2) Luthien sounds quite vicious when she takes it out on him, but I have realized that she keeps her claws in and does not bite him, she just slaps him upside the head in fast-forward, and when he gets away from her, he immediately turns around and does it again!!

I am so lucky. He claims he forgot the time ;-) Oh, yeah, it is light when I get home from work and it was pitch black when he came in four hours late! He is a creature of habit usually, that's why I was getting worried. You can almost set your clock by him. It would be a real fluke if he ever got run over - there are only a few houses past mine until the road ends in a field, so there is hardly any traffic and he only occasionally goes out "the front" anyway. He has several acres to act the big boy out the back (mine plus neighbours) and 2 miles of fields at the bottom of the garden. All full of mices and birdies and fings wot you never see on der road wot you can catch - or pretend to. It was just that I have too much imagination and often think the worst.
Boyfie is meatloafing with half-closed eyes in the chair only about 12 inches away at this very moment. He was here when I got home tonight as usual.
