The other day when I was walking home from the store, I came upon these
new neighbours of ours ;o)

This one looks exactly like Caliban when he is sleeping:

Those faces are so well made, they really look like cats enjoying a nice
nap. Sorry the pics aren't better, I should have gone to take them when
the sun was shining right onto them, and not when they were partially in
shadow.

I can even see them from the enclosure if I stand on my toes. On my way
home from photographing the lions, I shot a couple of pictures of the
enclosure from the outside. Usually I take the cats inside and shut the
door if I'm going out, but since I was only going a few steps away, I
left the door open. You can see Caliban out in the enclosure, on his
favourite look-out spot. He looked very surprised to see me outside!

So that's the block of flats that I live in. As you can see, the balcony
of the flat above forms a partial roof over the enclosure, so the cats
can be out of the rain and still outside.

They look soo relaxed!  I wonder if there's a story behind them?  I
get the feeling that your area must have a very laid back attitude. :)

Cute!  Betty didn't have an enclosure, but also liked to watch me from
the screen door when I was outside.  That is, until I took out a
leafblower or lawnmower. :)

Hehe, this is supposed to be some very artsy area; there are some old
centres of Finnish design nearby, like the Arabia and Iittala factories,
as well as the School of Arts and Design, and the Sibelius Academy. I
don't know how appropriate these sleeping lions are, since they are
laying between two schools, a polytechnic and a vocational school; I
hope the message to the students is not that you can come here and sleep
all day. ;o)

It may be a good thing that I have neither of those implements, because
the cats would probably hate them. My garden is so small, anyway, that I
don't think I need them.

I'm sooo envious of your enclosure. And natural flora too! Caliban is
definitely a little confoosed.

Hey, how did Roxy get into your enclosure?? :)

You are a very dedicated cat slave to have given up your balcony for
them!
