DP is trying to pack his suitcase for his posting in Montreal, and he's
not having an easy time. Tyche wants to go to Montreal too. She is
cramming herself into his suitcase, his carryon, his duffel bag, his
coat pocket, and if he tries to remove her she starts screaming about
how well she fits. Meanwhile, Kumani is convinced that nowhere is more
comfortable than DP's most expensive suit...to poly and do upside downy
heads on! And to shed and shed..

As if they can't go, they will send as much of themselves as possible.
Over the years Charlie and I have learned one thing from our cats. How to
get ready for and especially pack for a trip in as little time as possible.
Our guys get so upset if the suitcases come out, often we wait until they
have gone off to the kitty hotel to even start to pack. If only one of us
in going we can usually pack in 10 minutes flat.

Persia gets upset when she sees the suitcase, too, so I leave it out *and*
packed. I'm not trying to win any awards for how neat my bedroom looks.
<wink> When I know I'm going out of town, I gradually start removing and
replacing items with what is suitable for the climate where I'll be going,
about a week or two in advance. This way she's not aware I'm actually going
somewhere. I do a final suitcase check after I drop her off at the "kitty
hotel" (I like that term!)
Please note: I do laundry while I'm on the trip before I come home so I'm
not leaving dirty clothes packed. With jeans and leggins and the like,
there's very little I have to swap except perhaps summer tops to long sleeve
shirts to sweaters, and a nice dress for dinner.

Imp is normally a laid back, skittish cat, who doesn't really do much,
aside from pooping in front of the litterbox if it doesn't meet his
standards.

LOL! That's hilarious!
Tyche will sometimes pout on top of a suitcase if she can't force the
zipper open or otherwise get inside...
