The Best Friends animal sanctuary (in Utah) has been involved in
rescuing cats and dogs from Lebanon since the fighting began. They're
about to bring 300 animals from Beirut to their facility in Kanab,
Utah, and they sent out an email, looking for volunteers (to adopt!).
Since you all need more cats, I'm sharing the URL with all of you:

Also, here's a cute story about a Beirut boy kitty who's found a
bunch of kittens to mother. (Note: BETA, a Lebanese animal rescue
organization, has no relation whatsoever to PETA!)

As neurotic and jumpy as a feral cat can be.....can you just imagine
