HI! BK here - Big Dood sez that standz for 'Baby Kitten'. I discovrd
that I likez toooez!

Big Dood came out, and I followd him to the big hole full of waterz.
When he got there, I did a temperature check, and shook off my paw to
tell him it wuz too cold. Did he beleeve me? No. He had to stick his
foot in befoor he beleefed me.

So we went back to Big Doodz door, and I let myself in. We sat on da
floor while I nibbled on his toooez. They tasted sorta like the big
water.

Meen black cat kept making rude clickity-click noises at me wif her
teefs, so I dint turn my back on her, nosiree! Orinj cat was nice - he
just sniffed me, but I wuz very nervous the whole time.

Big Dood brot me into the room where I cud sit in his lap while he
typed on a catputer (whateffur that is!). Then we went back in the
liffing room and played tickle tummy and nibble toeeez until the mean
gurrl kitty threw a book at me. Then I wanted out.

Hoomin commentary:

I decided to go to the pool, and the usually skittish BK kitten
followed me down. He *did* test the water for me. It was JUST the
wrong side of cool for my tastes, so I dried my feet off and headed
back in.

When we got back, BK followed me in, purred for me, and I sat down
with him. He found my toes tasty enough to nibble on. As he nibbled
each toe, I told him that was my toe, so he changed to the next toe,
until I told him he had my little toe. He looked at me like "You don't
HAVE any little toes - they're all big!". I told him I had plenty more
on the other foot, but he decided to kill my shoes instead.

Dulce Mae doesn't like BK. She makes those clicky noises that cats
make when they want to catch a bird. She even gave half a hiss until I
told her to be nice to our visitor. She still wasn't happy.

BK sat in my lap while I got on the computer, but became restless as
kittens will, and he romped off into the living room.

I followed him to be sure he'd be fine. It's been a long time since
Little Feet was a kitten...

Well, Dulce Mae saw him, and as he walked by, she deliberately pushed
a book off the coffee table. It didn't hit BK, but it did surprise
him. He jumped, and headed straight for the door. Which I opened for
him. Poor kitten.

He also had a rough day. This morning, I tried to chase off the
raccoons, but I suspect they stole some of the food. Then, this
evening when I put food out for him and Mrs. Wiggleworm, a bunch of
the local kids came running over, making lots of noise, and wanted to
look at the cats eating.

Noisy feet and loud kids scared off BK. Mrs. Wiggleworm ignored the
kids and kept eating. BK did come back later and got his fill, but
still... I had a talk with the kids about not bothering animals while
they eat.

Well, he'll be back in the morning. And he's getting more and more
used to letting a hoomin (me) handle him, so this is working out well
so far.

Hugs and Purrs,
Mark

Mark, it sounds like you're making real progress with Baby Kitten! Purrs
that he continues to learn that hoomans can be good people.

The pool... I was trying to figure out what the "hole with big waterz"
was. The toilet? No, the big dood wouldn't stick his foot in there. :)
The bathtub? Oh wait, I get it... you guys were outside!

Yes, but such a *clever* brat!  And by the way, I think BK is hiding
something.  Just how does he know what a book is anyway, hmm, hmm?
