Emergency serious job purrs needed

A couple of weeks back I went after a job, a lovely job, more money,
nearer home (More time to skritch a Furball or two!) and they were
supposed to call me last Monday. They didn't....

Anyway this morning less than 5 minutes after I'd got the letter that
confirms my job isn't on the transfer list, they called me to say that
they can't make their mind up so it's going to come down to
references....I get the impression the first person with 2 good one's
is in!

Alas for some reason my best referee's email is bouncing so I had to
give my ex-boss (as of last Friday) who can be a bit off as a
reference. As well as my administration manager whom I know will give
me a glowing one. They already have one good reference written by one
of my surgeons

And I get the feeling that my being "at risk" might help

So prayers and purrs and anything else you care to throw at me that I
get enough glowing references fast enough and get this one! It's the
most serious looking offer I've had yet!

Lots of purrs on the way! I really hope you get the job, if only for the
sake of your clowder. ;-)

Yeah, like we don't have enough toys lying around!  LOL.

The pic is a bit fuzzy; the camera wouldn't focus, but you get the idea.

Glowing-references purrs on the way! I really hope you get it,
especially if it means giving the furballs extra scritches. ;o)

Sending lots of purrs and prayers that you'll be successful in this and get
the job you want.
I don't know how it works in Health but in Social Services employees "at
risk" have to be given priority for other jobs within the service.   I have
never known an at risk employee not get another job somewhere within the
council - unless they are so useless that they have wanted to get rid of
them for years!  I'm sure this doesn't apply to you, Lesley and I hope
Health have the same policy as we do.
If they do, you have no need to worry.  Lots of luck.

They've "ring fenced" a few vacancies for which we will be "fast
tracked" and considered for the job before the department can advertise
it on the open market. There are enough vacancies in my field in cover
me and my colleague (The office pest walked out last week!) several
times over so I think something will be found for me. But this other
job is with another Trust and is one I really want (and it takes
pressure off other people here who are looking at the "ring fenced"
jobs if I can get out)

I hope you get the job you want, but if not, it at least looks like you
won't be out of work which is a huge bonus.  Even if it's a job you wouldn't
have particularly chosen, you will have income coming in while you look for
something else.

This is the job I wanted, more money, nearer home etc etc. I'd have
wanted it even if I wasn't facing an uncertain future so I'm very
happy!

(As are the Furballs who did get a nice bit of ham last night)
