So I had to take my mind off Willie, and Quinn's.  Quinn was so
mournful-looking, staring out in the yard and paws on the windowsill,
looking for Willie running around the railing.  So we went by the Humane
Society, and I chose Bosco - an affectionate little black cat, and Harry
- an older cat not doing well, and they threw in General - renamed Tao,
a general hellion, clumsy climber and scavenger extraordinare.  Picture
posted on binaries, under Subject: refugee.

Bosco is a perfectly dispositioned black cat who even Case, hater of all
other cats, has cuddled with.  He's tempted Quinn into a cat chase or
two, and ventured out in the rain ala Beastie or Willie.  He needs
dinner manners yet, nosing into others including me.

Tao is incorrigible, opener of cabinet and pantry doors - if he learns
the fridge secrets it's all over.  Like the others, a lapcat but also
exploring all over.  And a walker on my shoulders as well.

Harry is pronounced Har-rie from the plaintive bride in Rear Window.
Tho older, he started animated and friendly, but after the vet I found
why he wouldn't eat well, mouth ulcers and abcessed teeth.  After a
cortisone shot and antibiotics he's even stealing kibble an dthe vet is
holding off pulling teeth for another two weeks.  Turns out, between my
visits he'd attended a lecture on cat teeth problems and it seems that
some cats actually have an immune reponse to their own teeth,  So it may
be with Har-rie who has developed sn adoring personality and play as
well.  I just love happy healthy older cats and with some luck Har-rie
will get older happily.

More tales to come, undoubtedly.

Congrats on your new additions, Norm. I'm so sorry to read about
Willie.  Purrs for yours and Quinn's broken hearts. You're so good to
have taken Harry among the younger ones. I hope they all bring you
many years of smiles.

I just saw the pictures. They all look well-adjusted to their new
home. Perhaps Willie had smething to do with your choosing them and
theri integration. Purrs,

Tao has shown independence of spirit in the manner of Beastie to the
point of exasperation.  I just dumped him unceremoniously off the
monitor a dozen times easily, and now I hear him horking in the living
room.  WHat did I find?  Onstead of the monitor he barfed on the
satellite receiver (the very ones he's on in the binaries picture).
B*stard cat!

They sound like an interesting bunch. Argh, my stupid ISP hardly shows
any pictures in abpa any more, I only get the replies these days. Will
you post the pics on a website some time, do you think?

They've changed Webshots a lot lately. Thank you for posting your new
kids! They look like a handsome bunch. Bosco looks like he may be
trouble. Tao looks quite serene but apparently looks can deceive. And
Har-rie looks quite at home. ;o)

Your kitties are all beautiful! Quinn and Willie are really sweet. In
the picture "Quinn and Willie do Windows", which is whom? They're very
cute, a matching set. :) And it looks like they got along great - Quinn
must miss him a lot.

Bosco looks really sweet and pretty, too.

I can't stand the way they've changed Webshots. It takes forever to
load each photo because of all the junk they put up on the page with
it, all the ads, and blinking stuff - ugh, I hate it.
