I'm trying to catch up on posts, and look for some followups but see
nothing about your grandson. Purrs that he's recovering and has gone
through all of the needed surgeries.

Hi Cheryl,

My grandson is recovering (thank goodness) he will need further surgery on
his arm and his broken leg has not been plastered yet, he has it in a
cradle. I have spoken to him on the phone (he is a 4 hour drive from me) he
is a little depressed, his memory is not good (the second time I phoned him
he didn't remember speaking to me previously) we text often, a few days ago
he text me with the message "sorry Nana I think I am going to be a cabbage"
I am so upset as to what he is going through but of course the alternative
is much, much worse. I did remind him that he is one very lucky boy (man) he
told me That Uncle Errol (my son) was looking after me, my son died 6 months
before he was born.

He text me yesterday to say he might be going home in a few days, my
daughter is wondering how she is going to manage as he can't walk.

I am hoping to get up to see him next week.

Thanks for asking

Lois

Burmese are like potato chips, you can't just have one!

I understand that with recovery can come deep depression;
hopelessness, so that sounds normal. I hope he keeps expressing how
he feels while he undergoes the surgeries and recovers.  Have a
nice visit with him! More purrs a plenty for him and all of you.

We are sending loads of purrs and best wishes for your grandson to
recover completely, and lots of hugs for his worried family,
