Moving things around....

Now that the roomie is gone, i've been doign a lot of cleaning and
moving stuff around.  And the cats are quite confused, though they
quickly have adapted.

Mischief is totally unaffected by all the moving and spends most of the
time napping in a corner.  Imp and Mayhem on the other hand hide way
under the bed until i've stopped moving stuff and they cautiously come
out.  I cleaned out half my closet and they had to thoroughly inspect
it.

The cat tree has been moved from teh living room to my office.
Mischief can now stare out the window at the building next door while
napping atop her castle.  She can also jump from the tree to the
windowsill if she wants to.  I also moved my bookcase from my bedroom
into the office, and Mischief has discovered that she can jump onto
that too!!!  And I was planning on putting a lamp up there but i don't
know if I can since the top seems to be occupied by a sleeping cat.

Imp seemed confused when he crept into to investigate but now realizes
that he can put his paws up on the sill from the cat tree.  Now if only
he had the guts to jump.  Silly.......

Things seem to be taking shape as i continue to make the place my own.
But unfortunately after cleaning so much, the vacuum cleaner started
emitting a burning smell.

So the cats are silently rejoicing that the Evil Sucky Monster is gone
and they can shed as much as they want.  Hmph.......

I had that happen to my vacuum a short time ago.  It was a belt that had
got caught up on something  and was burning.  Do you know how to replace a
belt?   Best wishes.   MLB

Oh yeah i know,

the vacuum is still under warranty, and i'm hoping that everything else
is working fine too.

I dropped it off at a service center and got a tag and a "We'll look at
it when we get to it, since there's a bunch of other vacuums in front
of you"

I remember glancing over and half the vacuums were like from the 80s.
*sigh*

Soooooo, it won't be until next week before i get a call.  And it
totally sucks (pun not intended) cause i'm trying to move stuff and
clean but I CAN'T.  I move stuff and find sections of carpet that have
like 5 years of dust on it, and I can't clean it.  hmph....

Is there a nice neighbour you can borrow a vacuum from for a few hours?

LOL!! They're probably enjoying the moving stuff; give them something new to
look at and inspect
