My 6 year old tabby has been getting mats all over his fur. Every year he's
been getting these mats more and more. During the winter it's really bad but
in the summer they get better. This year though they did not get better. I
try combing them, cutting them out but I feel I'm not getting any results. I
have noticed though that his skin is dry and I see flakes. Anyone have any
suggestions?

I've noticed a remarkable improvement in my cats fur after changing to
wet. What does kitty eat?

May I'll try that but he is vary fussy about his chow.

My indoor cats were only getting fed dry, but now I'm adding wet to their
diet and their fur is getting so sleek.  I split one can between the three,
once a day, and even that small amount has made a difference.

I don't know about the mats but in the winter Persia gets dry, flaky skin.
I got some Dermcaps liquid to squirt on her food.  It really seems to help a
lot.  (She doesn't care for the canned version of the prescription x/d
formula she has to eat.)

Hi John,

For info visit this page: http://www.flippyscatpage.com/health.html and look
under GROOMING. BTW, each Summer I get my Tiffy groomed - you can see pix
here: http://www.flippyscatpage.com/tiffany-pictures01.html. It is the only
time that Tiffy can properly clean her skin. I can tell she loves being
groomed because afterwards she walks around with a spring in her step!

Hi Flippy,

Since I haven't seen them in ages, I took a peek at your cat pictures.
Some of them are new to me. Jetson is looking so good! Is he still in
love with Tiffy? Has she let her guard down at all? He's such a handsome
lad, what more could she want? I love his name, too.

And LOL at Chloe in the computer case! At first I thought she was inside
a toy bus or something; she looks like a ticket collector at the ready. ;o)

And sweet Romeo... aw. I'm sure you miss him as much as I miss my Frank.
