Did anyone happen to save these when they came around? I have a class
project I am thinking about using one of these on, I'm not sure though.
I am just looking for as many ideas as I can get. If those of you who
saved them could just repost them to the group so I can get them from
there it would be great.

Here are some of them....
Am I in your way?
You seem to have it backwards:
This pillow's taken.
The food in my bowl
Is old, and more to the point,
Contains no tuna.
There's no dignity
In being sick - which is why
I don't tell you where.
Seeking solitude
I am locked in the closet.
For once, I need you.
Tiny can dumped in
Plastic bowl. Presentation,
One star; service: none.
Your mouth is moving
Up and down, emitting noise.
I've lost interest.
The dog wags his tail,
Seeking approval. See mine?
Different message.
Cats can't steal the breath
Of children. But if my tail's
Pulled again, I'll learn.
So you call this thing
Your "cat carrier." I call
These my "blades of death."
Big hairy spider.
Why did you put it outside?
Waste of a good snack.
Many birds out there
And me behind this window.
Need a glass cutter.
I don't mind being
Teased, any more than you mind
A skin graft or two.
My brain: walnut-sized.
Yours: largest among primates.
Yet, who leaves for work?

I hurl my furball
Right in my moms brand new shoes
See it and weep, bitch.
LOL!

Try to keep me out?
You'll find me in the closet
Eating your shoelace
Limbs at all angles
Eyes lid; belly rises, falls
A paw reaches out

This is so perfect and peaceful. Did you do it! It's a great one!

Thank you so much! I did write it. I wrote the first, funny one, then
looked at Oscar, who was half-asleep on the floor nearby. It struck
me that I wanted to capture that moment. But it took me quite a while
to get it right; this looks nothing like the first draft.

It's funny but I can absolutely hear Rodney Yee (famous yoga instructor)
saying this. It's really perfect and really captures the moment.

Again, thank you. I can't tell you how good it feels to read that =)
Even though I don't know anythign about Rodney Yee. I'm sure sounding
like a yoga instructor is a good thing.

I saved these from 2005; they were originally posted by Victor.
Haiku written by cats
----
The food in my bowl
Is old, and more to the point
Contains no tuna.
----
So you want to play.
Will I claw at dancing string?
Your ankle is closer.
----
There's no dignity
In being sick - which is why
I don't tell you where.
----
Seeking solitude
I am locked in the closet.
For once I need you.
----
Tiny can, dumped in
Plastic bowl. Presentation,
One star; service: none.
----
Am I in your way?
You seem to have it backwards:
This pillow is taken.
----
Your mouth is moving;
Up and down, emitting noise.
I've lost interest.
----
The dog wags his tail,
Seeking approval. See mine?
Different message.
----
My brain: walnut-sized.
Yours: largest among primates.
Yet, who leaves for work?
----
Most problems can be
Ignored. The more difficult
Ones can be slept through.
----
My affection is conditional.
Don't stand up,
It's your lap I love.
----
Cats can't steal the breath
Of children. But if my tail's
Pulled again, I'll learn.
----
I don't mind being
Teased, any more than you mind
A skin graft or two.
----
So you call this thing
Your "cat carrier." I call
These my "blades of death."
----
Toy mice, dancing yarn
Meowing sounds. I'm convinced:
You're an idiot.

Go to Google, to r.p.c.a., and use the "search this group" function to
search for "haiku." You'll get every haiku thread this place has ever
had.

Here are some new ones:
I've always loved you;
My simple purr is the proof.
Won't you love me, too?
Feral wants some food,
But hisses at indoor cat.
He feels so betrayed!
Homeless cats need love.
Their desperate cuddles say,
"I wish you'd keep me."
My heart is broken
Upon his old, worn body.
Cat life is too short.
A purr, in memory;
Gentle footpads walk with me.
I miss my kitty.
A joyful big pounce!
Gotta catch all these greeblings!
Kitten is awake.
You understand me,
But your wife has a surprise
In her brand new shoes.
Cat speaks gibberish.
At least when she walks across
My exposed keyboard.
Soft purrs, warm cuddles.
There is no happiness like
The love of my cats.
Hugs and Purrs,
Mark

I love your cat haikus, Mark! I'm especially moved by the one you wrote
on Frank's passing:
Sweet black and white cat
Rises beyond his body
To play forever.
It's on my memorial page for Frank:
http://koti.welho.com/mkurten/frank.htm
Wish I had time to flesh out the page a little. Maybe when my current
work project is finished...

I just have one for right now. Nina was my inspiration as always. (
Unless it was her mommy.)
Terrible Greeblings!
Your bed is covered with them
But I'll protect you!

And a few More:
Little soft white paws,
Yet when she runs, hooves thunder
Across the high plains
Slave neglects duty,
Our fishing pole does not play
We drag it to her.
The mountain is soft,
The volcano's snores rumble,
Claws cause an earthquake.
On a summer day
I like a wrestling match with
My sleepy mother.
