Rosie saves my morning

I started working at a temporary job a couple of weeks ago.  It felt like
jet lag for a while because I'm not used to getting up quite so early.

This morning, I was flat on my back, snoozing along, trying to get as much
sleep as possible, when Rosie moved from the pillow above my head and
plopped herself down on my chest and purred and purred.
I ignored her.
Then she flicked her tail across my nose. Then back again.
I pulled the sheet over my face so she could flick away, but not tickle me.
Then she turned around and head-butted me through the sheet.
I ignored her.
Then she snuggled next to me with her cheek resting next to mine and purred
and purred in my ear.
So, I opened my eyes, and saw that it was exactly time for the alarm clock
to go off, but I had forgotten to set it.
Thanks to Rosie, I got to work on time.
Annie, who will be lurking more and posting less, but still caring about you
all and sending prayers and purrs your way.

That is some smart cat!
I'll be going back to work myself soon, and I echo what you say. I'll never
forget the lovely people on this group.

Rosie is smart enough to have survived on her own the first seven months of
her life in an area where coyotes roam.
She was smart enough to let me see her sweet little face and steal my
heart.
I'm sure that all the time I thought I was taming her, she knew that she
was training me to be her slave.

Good luck when you get back to work.

Tweed and Annie, I hope you both still get time to post on rpca. You
will be missed if you don't! Frank wakes me up so early in the mornings
that I have time to read rpca for an hour or two before I have to go to
work, but I wouldn't recommend this to others. ;o)

Thank you Marina. It was kind of you to say that.  I'll be here.  Or else
suffer a really bad case of RPCA withdrawal.

Will you have internet access at work? If so maybe you could do some
catching up at lunchtime.

Only if I want to be disciplined :-(   It ain't allowed even at lunchtime.
I work for a government department and they must be the meanest on earth,
they even tell you what you are allowed to send over their local network,
and spy to see that no funnies or something like that are being exchanged..
Yes, really, and that's free.
We get e-mails  "It has come to our attention that emails non-relevant to
work issues are being exchanged - for example A Little Angel.  Please cease
this immediately."   !! Nice people.
God forbid if we should spend even a second being a human being and not
working our whatnots off.

Thank you.  It's not hard.  In fact, I'm enjoying this one a lot more than
some of my regular jobs.

Mischief - 21 Oct 2004 03:36 GMT
Oh yes, I can relate to that.

Mischief got me up on Monday morning.  I normally get up at 6, and I
felt Mischief annoying me for her breakfast.  Then I look at the clock
and see that it was 6:30  Yikes!

She kinda whimpers and headbutts my shouder.  The she'll try to shove
her cold nose under my hand or arm.  If that fails, she'll walk or
stand on me.

This past Sunday, I didn't have to get up early, and all of Mischief's
attempts to rouse me failed.   I woke up to hear food falling in their
dish and I look up to see my roommate in my room feeding them.

"They were following me and giving me those big sad eyes."   Awww....

Silly cats, when bugging one hoomin doesn't work, try another hoomin

Nothing like the little dance on the bladder when the cold nose in the
armpit doesn't get the desired results.

Well done Rosie. :-) Give her some extra scritches from me.

Rosie says thank you for the scritches and sends some purrs your way for
whatever use you can make of them.
