It doesn't matter how much you know something is coming- it's still a
shock when it does. The hospital I work at is being closed down in 8
weeks time so I'm looking at redundancy.
Have a few interviews lined up but would appreciate some purrs

That's awful Lesley, our local hospital closed down here a few years ago, we
now have to go to the next town if we require any hospital treatment.
Seems that the health system world wide is on a downward spiral!
Job purrs on the way that you find satisfactory employment soon.

Lots of purrs that you find the perfect job, even better than the one you're
losing.

Purrs definitely on the way. It's a shame so many of us are having to
look for work at the moment. I hope something good turns up for you.

Many purrs. The job market seems to be so unsettled these days, with so
many redundancies and layoffs. Good luck with finding something even
better.

I need to get things into perspective- just to add to it all- Jasper
Dudely (on the rpch+b group) crossed the bridge this morning so now I'm
a complete nervous wreck!
My manager just asked me if I was crying about the place closing and I
put a brave face on- she's not the sort of person who would understand
crying over a cat especially one I never met

Hi Lesley,
I'm sorry to hear this! :(
I've lost jobs due to "downsizing" several times, and it can be
pretty shocking, especially if you really love your job. But if you
weren't happy there, you might just wake up in a day or two to
realize that you have a new opportunity here. And perhaps, a welcome
breather between jobs.
And when you go on interviews, you won't have to try to explain why
you left this job, as there will be no doubt about that!
I hope you find something quickly!
Purrs,
Joyce

Many purrs on the way. Having a definite time limit makes it more pressing.

Many purrs Lesley! The gang are all perched around me on the back of
the couch, at my feet, and on my lap trying to push the laptop out of
the way. Encouraging them to send purrs your way, and lots of extras
for any other job-hunting RPCA'r needing them.

It sure was for me. While I did not have any full-time work for over 2
years, when something finally did come around it was (and continues to
be) really great :)
Perhaps I missed it, what is it that you do Lesley? I think we all
know that many medical-type positions are in huge demand.
(and Tasha says I have to pass her greetings along to the Fab

Medical Secretary- lots of temp work but nothing permanent about at the
moment- save for a handful of jobs all of which I think I have applied
for
