My mom, Ruby, went to the Rainbow Bridge at 5:43 AM this morning (8/26.) I was with her all night, and held her hand for most of the time - except for bathroom/beverage breaks. At 4 am she started having trouble breathing, and the nurse said it wouldn't be very long. I called my DH, and he came down to the nursing home. I went to greet him at the door, and he asked me if I had called my sister. I told him no, and when I turned back around to mom - she had gone. She waited till he was there to go. :( She fought a good fight, and is now at rest. Most of the staff at the nursing home were crying - they all loved her. She had lived there for almost 5 1/2 years. She had the stroke that put her there on 8/25/00, and died exactly 6 years 1 day later. I miss you mom. Patti > I miss you mom. Lots and lots of purrs for your grieving heart.  SignatureVictor M.
