Cat Forum / Cat Anecdotes / August 2006Not too old to play
Rusty is sleeping a lot these days. After exercising with seniors, I decided my senior cat needs some exercises too. I dug out the old feather toy he got for Christmas from my old college room-mate. He got interested but took a while to get him going. Finally I managed to get him batted at it, jumped at it, and snapped his jaws on it. Guess Rusty is not too old to play. But he sure didn't jump around like he did in his younger years. Winnie Ginger (RB) played up to she was 13 years old. She died at age 14. He doesn't play as long as he used to, and doesn't jump like he used to either. (but neither do we :-) Sherry |
