I took Jake to the vet this afternoon. Nothing specific seemed wrong with him, but he seemed to be losing weight and his coat doesn't look good. He's just not acting like himself. Good news is everything the vet can check out by looking and palpitating and poking appears to be OK. Jake is eight years old and never even needed his teeth cleaned. But, he has lost about a pound over the last year. Down from 10 pounds to nine. And his heart rate is up. Vet said he has a heart murmur and his heart rate was 220. So we have a prescription to try for the next month to try to bring that down. I don't know which way the numbers go on a heart murmur. But his is a class four. He does have a couple of fleas in spite of the August 1st Advantage. So tomorrow when he has settled down he will be getting a bath and a good brushing. Jake wants evil purrs for TED, but he really is a good guy. We could use some make this heart last a while purrs. Jo Heart purrs are on the way. Joy >I took Jake to the vet this afternoon.
