First let me say, thank you. Thank you to all of you wonderful people who
shared in my sorrow this past weekend.

Marina, it pleases me to know that Selena almost shared a birthday with
Nikki. Thank you Pat, Lois, and Bev.  Ginger-lyn, I will be calling you
soon. I can finally talk about Selena without crying. It really helps
knowing that others have lost their loved ones to HCM and understand.  I'll
never again take for granted even one day with my cats!

OMG, everyone. You may not read this if I list everyone, but every single
message from every one of you has been printed and is going into a memory
book. Tak, thank you for posting the pictures of Selena.  I was in a hotel
in St. Louis and couldn't remember where those pictures were.  On a disk
somewhere at home, I suspected.  The picture of Selena on the scarred table
was the very first picture I ever took of Selena.  She was so tiny in those
days.

It was very sad coming home and not finding Selena.  I still expect to see
her in certain places at certain times of the day and then suddenly remember
she isn't here any longer.  Putting down four food bowls and watching four
cats seems all wrong!

I picked up her cremains yesterday.  We chose an urn that is a very nice,
ceramic ivory cat that is sitting in the meatloaf position.  Selena sat in
this position so often that this particular urn seemed appropriate.

We are beginning to heal.  Having Hobbes, Lacey, Sam and Barnabus helps, of
course.  I'll always have a place in my heart for Selena, I'll always love
my little princess as you all know so very well.  And I'll always remember
the kindess from all of you during a time that I really needed friends.

Thank you all.

Julie,

I felt so sad for you and the worst of it was I didn't know if my message to
you got through.  At the time messages simply didn't show up on the server.
I am so glad it did.   ((((hugs))))

Still thinking about you, Julie. I know you miss Selena something
awful, like I missed Cherokee. You'll remember her fondly and not be so
sad in time. Hope it is soon.

I think those pictures were from 1999, so wow, it's been a long time.
One minute you had Hobbes, an only cat, and it seems like suddenly it
was x5.  But you must've gone a long time without losing a cat, and
that's fortunate.  It seems like it was only yesterday, but Selena
lived a good while, and lived a good life.

And she was so pretty.  Really a moon goddess.

Top posting as I couldn't snip this.

Selena was a cutie.  I still remember when she and Pine Cone were arguing
over who was the toughest pirate on the ship.  I laughed a lot as I posted
Pine Cone's replies to her challenges.  She was a feisty little lady and not
afraid to cuss PC out.  I loved it.

Pam S. who misses her too
