And Mimi, at over 2 years of age, still sounds like this.  That's how she
got her name (It's all about her, isn't it?)

Awwwww! Caliban started looking for the baby when he heard them squeak.

Does he like kittens?

I don't know. He hasn't met any since he was a kitten himself. But with
his non-aggressive nature, I can see him mothering a kitten. (Oh, no, I
can't! Get that image out of your head right now! We can't handle any
more cats in this household!)

They're both still so young that they might just end up romping and
playing with a kitten instead of mothering it.  So Caliban is a
paternal pacifist type like Frank.

If you want to purge the image from your head, then try imagining it
in a really incongruous way.  Imagine yourself saying, "Niece,
dahling, please be a dear and requisition for me another purebred
Russian Blue kitten with championship bloodlines." :)

LOL!! That reminds me, my niece told me this summer, as she was watching
Miranda moving gracefully about the cliffs, that Mir is one of the most
perfect Russian Blues she has seen. I'm sooo glad that she couldn't
become a showcat. She would have hated it, she is so shy and skittish
around new people. I shudder to imagine how she would have felt in a
cage in a cat show. And she would probably have had one or two litters
by now (if she didn't have epilepsy in her bloodline).

You sound like me.  I was so relieved when we had Kayla spayed because it
meant there was no longer any chance of deciding just once to see what cute
puppies she and the neighbor border might produce.

I am planning to teach her agility but really only to keep her mind
occupied.  For now our equipment is the children's playground when no one is
there.  And the cats leading her a merry chase around the furniture in the
house.  They love that she gets yelled at and they don't.

LOL, and I thought ours were bad for teaching Speedy tag and hide and seek.
They also think it is funny when the Speedster gets into trouble.

I'm sure Caliban would *love* a ginger kitten. :-)

The black one is so squeaky!  The orange one is so nibbly!  How can
anything be so cute??  The most amazing thing about kittens is that
they become ever more adorable as they grow up.

I know. They are just amazing. And they are so unformed. I remember
just being amazed at watching personalities blossom like a tended
flower and yet, each so different. When they are about 3 months old you
think "Who are you?" and then by six months, they are so different from
each other all of the sudden. It's such a cool process.
