Watched James Stewart in 'Bell Book and Candle' and the Siamese cat who was
the 'familiar', Piewacket, purred up a storm.  She and her big blue eyes and
dark ear and tail markings:)  Piewacket!

Persia purrs up a storm, too.  My friend Nancy says she's PURRRRRRING  Uh,
yeah.  PURRSHA (giggling)  You should hear her right now.  She's purring up
a storm.  She's very noisy.

Awww...Isis(RB) used to purr so loudly she could be heard 20+ feet
away. Dunzi and Sarsi don't purr so loudly- I miss that!

I remember that.  Pyewacket controlled everything by purring!

I never saw the movie, but when I was in college, I saw it done as a play.
In the play, Pyewacket was a black cat.  At the time, I had known no cats up
close and personal.  My family were d*g people.  So I had no idea I would
ever have a cat.  Nonetheless, I was so take with that cat that I said, "If
I ever have a black cat, I'm going to name it Pyewacket."

It was about 15 years after that before I ever had a cat, and at least ten
more years before I had a black cat, but when we got him, I did name him
Pyewacket.
