In the ongoing series of bitty dialogue.

COMING HOME FROM WORK:

me:  What did bitty do today while mommy was gone?
Kumani:  We behaved.
me:  You?  Behaved?
Tyche:  Yes!  We behaved...BADLY! *kitty giggles*
Kumani:  We were good.
Me:  Good?
Kumani:  Good...at being bad! *more kitty giggles*
Nocturne:  I fail to understand why this continues to surprise you.
Look at them.  You should not have four cats.  You should not move
halfway across the country with infant kittens when you have no job and
no experience in infant care.  These kittens are bad simply FOR
EXISTING.  Further badness is simply reinforcing a pre-set pattern.
Smokey:  Plus, like, their dad was a hume...I mean a human...an' he
didn't raise 'em right... *loud kitten protesting that their
MotherFather is a cat*
Me:  Smokey, this better not be some kind of racist/speciesist redneck
comment.  We've talked about that.
Smokey:  Like how I can't call you guys "humes," but it's okay for Nox
to be a fascist?  That's sorta hippopotamus, isn't it?
Me:  The word you want is "hypocritical" and no it's not because it
isn't okay for Nox to be a fascist...NOCTURNE!  You will STOP saluting
that Luftwaffe poster, Mommy has that for research!
Kumani:  If we're bad for existing and for being raised by a Momdad who
had a species change (longrunning debate exists over whether or not
Dylan is a cat), and Smokey's bad for being an ignorant redneck, why is
Nox bad?
Tyche:  NOX WAS SPAWNED IN HELL!
Me:  Ordinarily I would attempt to address this theologically
but...y'know, I haven't got a better answer.
