Hi there:

Our wonderful neighbours invited us and our newest neighbours over last
night for a barbecue to get to know one another.  They got to know Otis.

Otis sat on the other side of the fence and yowled as we sat on their deck.
He would periodically jump up onto the fence and look like he was going to
come over, despite the dog, who was going crazy.  The dog would bark, Otis
would puff up and hiss but would leap back every time.  I was reminded of
Otis jumping down onto the Australian Shepard so went over to try to diffuse
the thing.  The poor dog got sprayed by his people and reprimanded and Otis
eventually settled into only the occasional moan from the other side of the
fence until we came home.

He was greatly relieved when we came home.  Chester was napping comfortably
in the cat tree, quite unconcerned that we were next doot.

The dog neighbours are used to him.  The new neighbours had words like "so
unusual" "very interesting".
